Community School of Naples

A case study by Kelly Spivey

To say the Community School of Naples is a “sporty” school would be an understatement. Home to the Seahawks, CSN is a college prep school for grades PreK–12. Students excel in and out of the classroom, with 100 percent receiving college acceptances.

CSN has also one of southwest Florida’s most formidable high school athletics programs. Just take a look at the numbers since its establishment 40 years ago:

  • 21 sports teams
  • 9 state titles
  • 45 regional titles
  • 137 district titles

There’s no “I” in team, but individual athletes sure do stand out here. Seven in 10 CSN high school students participate in sports. One of 10 will go on to play collegiate athletics. Three-fifths of those collegiate athletes will compete in the NCAA’s Division I programs.

“Every Student, Every Day”

The cool thing about CSN’s fitness center is that it’s not just for their student-athletes. Physical fitness starts early at CSN — at ages you can count on one hand. One of their mottos regarding physical wellness is “every student, every day.” We couldn’t agree more.
