Heartline Fitness Enters the Midwest with New Acquisition

Rockville, MD, August 19, 2019 Heartline Fitness Systems, a subsidiary of The Amenity Collective (www.amenitycollective.com) and FirstService Corporation of Toronto, Canada (Nasdaq: FSV), has acquired Chicago-area based Integrity Fitness, owned by Dan Green and Jim Ross. This continues Heartline’s committed effort to creating a nationally scaled, commercial fitness sales and service enterprise.
Dan Green formed Integrity Fitness in 1989 and has been building the company ever since. “After becoming an owner and seeing our rapid sales growth in the mid-2000s, I could see we were going to need more capital to take the business to new levels,” Green explains. “I knew there was substantial opportunity for further growth, but I knew we needed the right partner at some point,” he adds.
“As timing would have it, Heartline entered our picture in 2019, and it was clear given their acquisition by a public company that they were primed to make a move and now had the resources to make it happen, ” Green adds. “It didn’t take Jim and I long to determine Heartline would be a great fit to help Integrity achieve its growth goals.”
“Dan and Jim’s core values are truly in sync with Heartline.” “Their mission, serving basics, and strategic goals line up perfectly with ours and will help making the transition to Heartline Fitness Midwest less painful,” says Bob Burgess, President & CEO of Heartline Fitness Systems. “Integrating under one national brand is critical to Heartline’s growth strategy, and thus it’s equally important for our new regional partners to share in these same values and company culture,” added Burgess. “Common culture is the key to making these partnerships work!”
“At the end of the day, Integrity adds another building block to our growth strategy they are keenly aligned with our culture and brand promise,” Bob Burgess, President & CEO, Heartline |
“Now, with the addition of Integrity to our family, we’re set to be a real force in Chicago and the greater Midwest,” says Jeff Shipman, COO and president of Heartline Technical Services – Heartline’s premiere service arm. “We believe Heartline is one of the few dealerships in the fitness industry that is able to provide clients a complete turn-key solution,” Shipman adds. “In addition to the company’s stable of product brands, Heartline handles all aspects of the order fulfillment process from site assessment to facility design, working with clients to determine optimal brands and equipment mix, delivering, installing and testing the products, to post-installation preventive maintenance and repair services.” “All of these services are performed and managed by Heartline personnel and not subcontractors,” he continues. “This way, we’re able to ensure a higher quality, more reliable client experience.”
This acquisition was critical in elevating Heartline’s position on a national level. Heartline continues to inch closer to its goal of creating a nationally scaled commercial fitness sales and service enterprise.
Heartline continues to evaluate strategic partners in major markets who are looking to discuss creating value in their business for tomorrow while experiencing a liquidity event today. Growth through strategic acquisitions and partnerships is at the center of its commitment to providing clients with “end-to-end” fitness solutions on a national coverage basis.
